Award of Scholarships & Fee submission policy For Riphah College of Engineering and Technology

1. Policy for award of Scholarships

(i) Merit Scholarships:

(a) At the time of admission: At the time of admission, the top 3 students in each discipline/department, from the merit list, will be awarded a scholarship amounting to 10% of the tuition fee for the first semester only. This scholarship will be awarded after the completion of admission and registration process.

(b) For the subsequent semesters: On the basis of the result of every semester, the top 3 students In each discipline/department will be awarded a scholarship amounting to 10% of the tuition fee for only one semester.

(ii) On Kinship basis:

A scholarship amounting to 15% of the tuition fee is awarded to the younger brother/sister from two real brothers/sisters studying in Riphah College of Engineering & Technology at the same time. This award is valid till both of the kin remain enrolled in the college and show the satisfactory performance in studies (maintain a CGPA of 3.0).

(iii) For Huffaaz-e-Quran:

A scholarship amounting to 15% of the tuition fee for the whole study period is awarded to Huffaaz-e-Quran. A committee will test/select the candidates eligible for this category. This award will be valid till the student shows the satisfactory performance in studies (maintains a CGPA of 3.0).

(iv) Need Based:

A scholarship amounting to 15% of the tuition fee is awarded to the maximum 2 students in each discipline/department under this category for the whole study period. A committee will be responsible to award the scholarships under this category. This award will be valid till the student shows the satisfactory performance in studies (maintains a CGPA of 3.0).

(v) For the sons/daughters of employees of Riphah Faisalabad:

A scholarship amounting to 20% of the tuition fee is awarded to the son/daughter of the employees of Riphah International University, Faisalabad for the whole study period on the basis of merit list. This award will be valid till the student shows the satisfactory performance tn studies (maintains a CGPA of 3.0).

(vi) For the Students of Dar-e-Arqam Schools and Colleges:

For the students of Dar-e-Arqam, a scholarship amounting to 10% of the tuition fee for the whole study period is awarded to maximum 3 students in each discipline/department on the basis of merit. This award will be valid till the student shows the satisfactory performance in studies (maintains a CGPA of 3.0).

(vii) Specially approved by the Chairman/BOD:

Apart from above mentioned scholarships the Chairman/BOD can also award the special scholarship to any student for any duration

NOTE: Only one scholarship will be awarded to a student at a time.

2. Policy for the Submission of fee/dues

(i) At the time of Admission:

After the declaration of merit list, the registration fee and first semester fee is to be paid on/before the date announced by the university in order to secure the admission.

(a) Once submitted, the registration fee is non-refundable in any case.

(b) If a student's admission is cancelled due to ineligibility of meeting the admission criteria (e.g. does not secure 60% marks in F.Sc. after the declaration of result), only the semester fee will be refunded to him/her but not the registration/admission fee.

(c)If a student decides to withdraw his/her admission within the first week of the commencement of classes, he/she will be refunded only the semester fee but not the registration/admission fee.

(d)After the one week of the commencement of the classes, refund of any kind of fee/fund whatsoever is not allowed.

(e) Under the special circumstances, after the approval the Principal/HOD, the semester fee (excluding the admission/registration fee) can be deposited In maximum of three installments. In this case, the first installment will be at least 50% of the total fee and the other two installments will be of 25% each. The first Installment must be paid at the time of admission. The schedule for the payment of the remaining installments will be announced by the University.

(ii) For the subsequent semesters:

The semester fee must be paid on/before the date announced by the university. After the due date, a fine of Rs.2000/- will be imposed during the first week and a fine of Rs.3000/- will be imposed during the 2nd week. After 2 week, the name of the student/ who will not deposit the fee, will be struck off the University Rolls. However, the struck-off student can get readmission after paying the full fee along with readmission fee of Rs. 5000/- with the approval of the university authorities
