About Riphah Biotechnology Lab

The Riphah Biotechnology Lab supports the BS program with structured, hands-on practicals that translate classroom theory into competent laboratory skills. Students work in core wet-lab areas for sample preparation, microbiology, molecular techniques, and basic analysis, under clear SOPs and faculty supervision. Emphasis is placed on safe practice, proper documentation, and ethical conduct in accordance with campus laboratory policies. Scheduled practicals cultivate aseptic technique, accurate measurement, and careful observation, while guided exercises build confidence in troubleshooting and reporting. The lab environment encourages inquiry, teamwork, and reflective learning through short projects and demonstrations. Interdisciplinary links with life and health sciences help students see biotechnology’s real-world relevance. By combining sound pedagogy with a well-organized workflow, the lab prepares graduates for advanced study and entry-level laboratory roles.
