Admission Policy
1. Purpose & Scope
Riphah International University, Faisalabad, is committed to providing fair, transparent, and merit-based admissions while upholding Islamic ethical values. This policy applies to all programs offered at undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels.
2. Guiding Principles
- Equal opportunity for all applicants regardless of gender, ethnicity, or background, while respecting the cultural and Islamic framework of the university.
- Selection is based strictly on merit, academic performance, and fulfillment of eligibility criteria.
- The university reserves the right to amend admission requirements and processes as needed to maintain academic quality and compliance with regulatory bodies.
3. Eligibility Criteria
Undergraduate Programs
- Minimum 45% marks in HSSC or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.
- Applicants with foreign qualifications must provide equivalence certificates from the Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC).
Graduate (Master’s) Programs
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with at least 50% marks or a 2.0 CGPA (on a 4.0 scale) from an HEC-recognized institution.
PhD Programs
- MS/MPhil degree in a relevant field with a minimum 3.0 CGPA (on a 4.0 scale) or 70% marks from an HEC-recognized institution.
- Submission of a research proposal aligned with faculty expertise.
4. Application Process
- Complete the online application through the university’s admissions portal.
- Upload required documents:
- Academic transcripts and certificates
- CNIC/B-Form
- Recent passport-sized photographs
- Pay the non-refundable application fee through designated payment methods.
- Submit the completed application before the advertised deadline.
- Appear in the Riphah Entry Test or an accepted equivalent test (NTS optional).
- Attend an interview where required.
5. Selection & Offer of Admission
- Admissions are decided based on academic merit, entry test/interview performance, and seat availability.
- Provisional admission may be granted pending final results but will be revoked if eligibility criteria are not met.
- Selected applicants will receive an offer letter detailing fee payment deadlines, orientation schedules, and program start dates.
6. Credit Transfer & Migration
- Students from other HEC-recognized institutions may transfer credits if they meet the university’s minimum grade and curriculum match requirements.
- Transfer applications must be submitted before the start of the semester and approved by the concerned academic department.
7. Medium of Instruction
English is the official medium for instruction, examinations, and academic correspondence, except in courses where another language is specified.
8. Admission Revocation
The university reserves the right to cancel admission if:
- Documents are found to be forged or falsified.
- The student fails to pay fees within the stipulated time.
- The student violates university rules before registration.
