Dr. Luqman Khan
Dr. Luqman Khan serves as the Head of the Information Services Department at Riphah International University. With extensive expertise in library and information sciences, he leads a team of highly qualified professionals dedicated to delivering dynamic, innovative, and student-centered information services.
Under his leadership, Riphah’s libraries have been transformed into vibrant knowledge hubs where traditional resources are seamlessly integrated with advanced digital solutions. By expanding access to global research databases, developing subject-specific guides, and introducing literacy enhancement programs, Dr. Khan has strengthened the university’s academic and research ecosystem.
Recognized for his commitment to innovation and academic excellence, Dr. Khan continues to advance access, collaboration, and the intelligent use of information—positioning Riphah’s Information Services as a benchmark for modern academic libraries in Pakistan.

The Information Services Department is proud to serve as the central hub of knowledge for Riphah International University. With more than 50 professional librarians and information specialists across our libraries, we are dedicated to fulfilling the academic and research needs of students, faculty, and researchers—both on campus and through remote access.
Our mission is to provide timely, reliable, and comprehensive access to information that supports teaching, learning, and research. We offer a wide range of services, from traditional library collections to advanced digital platforms, including access to over 35,000+ full-text journals from the world’s leading publishers. Through specialized databases, Islamic resources, and subject-specific LibGuides, we ensure that every user has the tools necessary for success.
We also take pride in initiatives such as the Research Repository, the Query Management System (QMS), and the Information Literacy Enhancement Program (ILEP), which equip the Riphah community with essential research and information literacy skills.

Information Services Department is providing marvelous services to the academia and students of Riphah International University. More than 50+ librarians and Information professionals at 11 libraries are engaged to cater the academic needs of Riphah community at different campuses of the university. Delocalized library users are also served with off-campus access to library resources. We invite you to explore the world of knowledge for learning and sharing.
Introduction
Information Services Department is working as the center of information for Riphah community. The department aims to provide the most dynamic learning and research environment to the users. Information Services fulfills the information needs of the faculty and students, by providing traditional library services as well as streamlining access to a wide range of e-resources.
The objective of Information Services Department is to focus on acquiring the right information, processing it, and disseminating that information at the right time to the appropriate users to fulfill their academic needs.
The library has a sufficient collection of books, journals, and magazines both in print and digital format. Information Services Department is being managed by qualified and experienced information professionals dedicated to providing high-quality, innovative services. Our mission is to excel in supporting the academic and scholarly endeavors of our users through their instructional and research requirements by utilizing the best possible resources, systems, and services.

Islamic Resources
This database provides access to in-depth knowledge on Quran, Hadith, and other resources about Islam.
Subject Guides / LibGuides
We share knowledge, analyze services, and connect with users to make them lifelong learners. We partner with faculty and researchers to enhance the library experience.
More than 700 subject guides have been developed according to the course outlines. The guides provide information about available resources to promote student learning. The main focus of the guides is to provide a single access point to meet the academic needs of faculty and students. It is a platform developed and launched recently by our information advisors to facilitate and help Riphah Community in their curriculum.
Query Management System (QMS):
For any type of query related to ISD resources and services, anyone can interact through this medium. The ISD team is always available to respond to queries within 24 hours.
Information Literacy Enhancement Program (ILEP)
Two information literacy lectures per faculty per month are conducted by the Information Services Department to enrich the information literacy skills of the Riphah Community and to make them information literate.
