Director of Tarbiyah – Message

The Directorate of Tarbiyah is dedicated to serving the needs of our students and guiding them throughout their academic journey. From the moment a student first visits the university to the completion of their degree, our office functions as both a resource and a companion—supporting academic goals while promoting personal, cultural, and spiritual development.

Through a wide range of services, programs, and activities, we encourage students to grow intellectually, socially, and ethically. Our mission is not only to facilitate academic advising and co-curricular activities but also to foster leadership, creativity, and a sense of responsibility.

We strive to make every student’s stay at Riphah a rich and transformative experience of multi-dimensional growth—preparing them to succeed in life and contribute positively to society.

About The Department

Riphah International University is a vision-based institute with an aim to inculcate Islamic ethical values in its students, staff, employees and ultimately the society. A need was felt to develop a more informal rapport with the students and staff to gauge their ethical commitment towards the organization in specific and towards life in general. It is for this very purpose that an independent department by the name Tarbiyah Department was established at Riphah, Faisalabad Campus which tends to the Tarbiyah (character building) needs of all those who are associated with Riphah.

These ethical values are also known as ‘Riphah Values’ enlisted as follows:

Fundamentally, Tarbiyah Department is responsible to ensure mission compliance at Riphah; therefore, its scope is not confined to the academics only but extends to the administrative facets of the institution as well. The scope of Tarbiyah Department covers three aspects: students, staff and the overall campus environment. Some major activities conducted at all three areas are mentioned below for your perusal:

Objectives of Tarbiyah

  • Clarify the concept (meaningful) of life to students.
  • Enable students, how to:
    • Fulfill their obligations (Faraiz) towards The Creator and His creation.

Tarbiyah (Character Building) of Students:

Tarbiyah of Students is carried out through following activities:

This is Riphah’s unique feature that endures building a closer relation between a teacher and his student in a guided and secured environment.

Life & Living Courses:

These courses include Islamic Studies, Pakistan Studies, and professional ethics. They are not only taught to the students in a conventional method but also through special activities during classes for practical learning are planned and delivered.

Daily Engagement through Interaction and Discussion:

Tarbiyah team members have chosen different campus locations where students find it comfortable to interact and communicate with them. These conversations are deemed to be highly important as in such places students tend to communicate openly and discuss important matters with their counselors.

Weekly Students Counseling Sessions:

Weekly time is allocated for counseling sessions where students meet with the Tarbiyah representatives and discuss their personal and professional matters.

Special Lectures/Trainings/Workshops/Short Courses:

Monthly lectures, workshops and seminars are scheduled for students where different trainers from within and outside Riphah interact with the students regarding Riphah’s values in the light of RAS (Riphah Aspired Students) framework to comprehend the true picture of Islam.

Hostel Activities/Classes:

Tarbiyah Department has also extended its scope to the hostels where students are engaged in a number of activities along with the Quran classes, such as aerobics, field trips and other fun activities, that include social welfare projects as well.
