Fee, Refund & Financial Policy
1. Purpose & Scope
This policy ensures that all matters related to tuition fees, other charges, and refunds at Riphah International University, Faisalabad, are handled with transparency, fairness, and efficiency. It applies to all enrolled students across undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate programs.
2. Fee Structure & Payment Schedule
- The official fee structure for each program is published on the university’s website and prospectus.
- Tuition and other applicable charges (admission fee, registration fee, lab charges, examination fee) are payable before the start of each semester.
- Payments can be made through designated bank branches, online transfers, or other approved payment methods.
- Students must retain proof of payment for record-keeping and submission when required.
3. Late Fee & Penalties
- A late payment surcharge will be applied after the announced due date.
- Continued failure to pay dues may result in:
- Suspension of access to classes and facilities.
- Withholding of results and transcripts.
- Cancellation of enrollment.
4. Refund Policy
Refunds of tuition fees will be made only in accordance with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Refund Policy, as follows:
- Full (100%) refund – if the student withdraws within 1st week of semester start.
- Half (50%) refund – if the student withdraws within 2nd week of semester start.
- No refund – after the 2nd week of semester commencement.
Admission, registration, and other non-tuition charges are non-refundable.
5. Financial Holds
The university reserves the right to place a financial hold on any student’s record for unpaid balances, preventing:
- Registration for new courses.
- Issuance of transcripts or degrees.
- Access to university services.
6. Scholarships & Fee Waivers
- Merit-based and need-based scholarships are available as per the university’s Scholarship & Financial Aid Policy.
- Scholarship recipients must maintain the required GPA and adhere to the Code of Conduct to continue receiving benefits.
- Scholarships are not transferable or convertible to cash.
7. Special Cases
- In case of prolonged illness, death of a guardian, or other exceptional circumstances, students may apply for special consideration through the Finance Office and Registrar’s Office.
- Such requests must be supported by valid documentation and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
