Hostel Rules & Accommodation Policy

1. Purpose & Scope

Riphah International University, Faisalabad, provides hostel facilities aimed at offering students a safe, comfortable, and disciplined living environment that supports their academic and personal development. This policy applies to all hostel residents and governs accommodation eligibility, conduct, and the proper use of hostel facilities.

2. Eligibility for Hostel Accommodation
  • Hostel accommodation is available for outstation students enrolled in full-time programs.
  • Allotment is subject to seat availability and priority is given to:
    • New admissions from remote areas.
    • Continuing students with good academic and disciplinary records.
  • Hostel seats are non-transferable and assigned to the student for the duration of the academic year.
3. Code of Conduct in Hostels
  • Residents must strictly follow Islamic values in dress, speech, and conduct.
  • Male and female hostels are completely separate; cross-entry is strictly prohibited.
  • Quiet hours must be observed from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM to allow for rest and study.
  • No overnight absence is allowed without prior written permission from the Hostel Warden.
  • Visitors are only allowed in designated areas and during specified visiting hours with warden approval.
  • Residents must not damage or alter hostel property; any damages will be charged to the responsible individual.
4. Prohibited Activities
  • Possession or consumption of alcohol, drugs, or intoxicants.
  • Smoking within hostel premises.
  • Playing loud music or causing disturbances.
  • Unauthorized use of electrical appliances such as heaters, microwaves, or stoves.
  • Political or religious gatherings without university approval.
5. Facilities & Services
  • Furnished rooms with essential furniture (bed, study table, chair, cupboard).
  • Common rooms with TV and newspapers.
  • Dining facilities with fixed meal times.
  • Wi-Fi access for academic purposes.
  • Laundry services (where available).
  • 24/7 security and CCTV monitoring.
6. Curfew Timings
  • Female Hostel: 6:30 PM in winter, 7:30 PM in summer.
  • Male Hostel: 10:00 PM year-round.
  • Students arriving late without prior permission will face disciplinary action.
7. Disciplinary Action

Violations of hostel rules may result in:

  • Verbal or written warnings.
  • Fines or compensation for damages.
  • Expulsion from the hostel and loss of accommodation privileges.
8. Hostel Management
  • The Hostel Warden is responsible for day-to-day operations, discipline, and welfare of residents.
  • Any grievances must be reported to the warden or the Director of Student Affairs.
