About Riphah Human Nutrition & Dietetics Lab

The Riphah Human Nutrition & Dietetics Lab provides structured practical training that integrates nutrition theory with applied skills. Students engage in dietary assessment, anthropometric measurements, nutrient analysis, and therapeutic meal planning under faculty supervision and established SOPs. Emphasis is placed on food safety, accurate calculations, and culturally appropriate diet design in alignment with clinical and community standards. Scheduled practicals cover diet recall methods, energy and macronutrient estimations, menu development, and nutritional counseling simulations. Guided exercises focus on patient-centered care, ethical practice, and effective communication, helping students apply their knowledge in clinical, community, and research settings. The lab promotes teamwork, reflection, and evidence-based practice, preparing graduates with professional competencies for hospitals, wellness programs, and food service industries.
