Program Overview

The M.Phil in Islamic Studies program provides advanced knowledge of Qur’an, Hadith, and classical Islamic sciences alongside modern social sciences. It aims to train scholars who can critically analyze contemporary issues in the light of Islamic teachings and present Islam’s guidance effectively in diverse fields of life.

About Program

Students in this program study Quranic and Hadith sciences while engaging with disciplines such as economics, sociology, philosophy, and political science. Guided by qualified faculty, they develop research skills, leadership abilities, and academic insight to address modern challenges through Islamic perspectives.

The M.Phil in Islamic Studies program at Riphah International University, Faisalabad, prepares graduates for careers in research, teaching, legislation, and community leadership. Eligibility Criteria

For Pakistani Nationals
  • BA/BS (Hons) in Islamic Studies with a minimum CGPA of 2.50/4.00 (semester system) or 2nd division (annual system) from an HEC-recognized university.
  • MA in Islamic Studies or an equivalent degree in the relevant subject with a minimum CGPA of 2.50/4.00 or 2nd division in the annual system.
  • Al-Shahdah Al-Aalmiyah (with HEC equivalence certificate) from any HEC-recognized Wafaq or institution.
  • BS (Hons)/MSc/MA in any other discipline from an HEC-recognized university with a minimum CGPA of 2.50/4.00 or 2nd division, subject to passing departmental test and interview. Such candidates must complete provisional courses assigned by the Department of Islamic Studies.
