Through carefully designed courses, research engagement, and campus-wide guidance, our aim is to develop reflective individuals who live their faith with ihsan while contributing meaningfully to society.

About The Department

Established in 2013, the Department of Islamic Studies serves both as a degree-granting unit and as an academic partner to all BS programs across Riphah International University. The department offers BS, MPhil, and PhD programs in Islamic Studies, designed to respond to contemporary realities while maintaining fidelity to the Islamic intellectual tradition.

Our curriculum integrates classical texts with modern fields of inquiry, encouraging critical engagement, research skills, and professional ethics. Alongside classroom learning, the department provides international-level research facilities and regularly hosts national and international seminars, workshops, and scholarly dialogues that connect knowledge to real-world challenges.

Since 2018, the department has published its peer-reviewed, bi-annual research journal IQAN, approved in the Y category by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan. Graduates pursue impactful roles in education, research, community leadership, social development, and policy-related domains—serving as principled professionals who contribute to the betterment of life in this world and the Hereafter.
