The Department of Sports Science & Physical Education is a dynamic, forward-looking academic unit committed to excellence in teaching, research, and community engagement. Housed within a vibrant academic and athletic ecosystem, the department blends scientific rigor with real-world application. Students learn to design evidence-based training plans, conduct athlete assessments, apply sport psychology principles, and implement safe, effective coaching strategies. Emphasis on professional ethics, leadership, and communication ensures graduates are workplace-ready.
Our facilities include specialized labs for exercise physiology and biomechanics, strength & conditioning spaces, and teaching gyms that enable hands-on skill development and research. Experiential learning—through internships, coaching practicums, officiating opportunities, event management, and community wellness initiatives—builds confidence and professional identity.
Graduates pursue diverse pathways as PE teachers, coaches, performance analysts, strength & conditioning specialists, sport managers, fitness entrepreneurs, and health promotion officers, as well as postgraduate researchers.
