Message from HOD
Nursing is a calling to care with competence, character, and compassion. At the Department of Nursing, we prepare professionals who combine scientific knowledge with ethical practice—ready to deliver safe, patient-centered care across hospitals, communities, and specialized services.
Care. Competence. Compassion.
Our learning culture is evidence-based and student-centered. Through skills labs, simulation, and supervised clinical placements, students build strong assessment, communication, leadership, and critical-thinking abilities. We nurture holistic growth—academically, professionally, and through meaningful community engagement.
About The Department
Established to meet national healthcare needs in line with Riphah International University’s vision, the Department of Nursing provides value-based education supported by state-of-the-art facilities—modern labs, a digital library, and access to teaching hospitals for structured clinical exposure. Programs are designed on Outcome-Based Education and are endorsed by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan; the BS Nursing (Generic) program is recognized by the Pakistan Nursing & Midwifery Council (PN&MC).
Academic preparation is integrated with professional formation: clinical reasoning, patient safety, interprofessional collaboration, documentation, and leadership are woven throughout the curriculum. Continuous professional development—via seminars, workshops, and conferences—keeps faculty and students current with best practices and emerging standards.
The department embraces a diverse student body and fosters inclusive learning through student societies and service initiatives. Graduates emerge as competent nurse clinicians, educators, and emerging researchers—grounded in Islamic and ethical values—ready to contribute effectively at local, national, and international levels.
